Madavarvilagam Arulmigu Vaithiyanathan Temple Srivilliputtur

In Srivilliputtur, Arulmigu Vaitheeswaran temple is one of the famous temple. It is God Sivan With Goddess Sivagamiambal temple. This temple is situated at 2 kilometres from Srivilliputtur bus stand. This temple is called with another name, Madavarvilagam. In the temple the main sanadhies are Arulmigu Vaitheeswaran Sanadhi and Arulmigu Sivagamiambal Sanadhi. And other importanat Sanadhies of God and Goddess are Sri Vinayagar, Sri Dhakshnamoorthi, Sri Subramaniyar with Valli and Dheivayanai, Sri Lingothpower, Saraswathi Amman, Manonmaniamman, Joorathever, Sri Natarajor, Saneeshwarar, Sri KalaBhairawar, Arulmigu  GazaLashmiamman, Sri Sandikaswarar, Sandikaswaraamman, 63 Nayanmars, Athikara Nandheeswarar, Veerapathirar and Navakirahangal.

Mulaikottu festival in Srivilliputtur had been celebrated well for two days 4th and 5th July(Tuesday and Wednesday) For this festival textile shops announced rebate for sale. People of five streets(Mariamman koil street, Mayandipatti street, Keelaseventhipatti street, Ooranipatti street, Mudhaliyar(Therkku)patti street ) in Srivilliputtur, celebrated this festival. Goddess MuthurakkuAmman Samy had been in Chariot(sapparam) in all the street. 

About Mulaikattu







There are nine kind of grams and millets had been grown by people in the pots before seven days of the festival. And then at the festival day after worshipping Goddess Mariamman, Muthurakkamman and Pattatharasiamman they carry the pots at the outer place of Srivilliputtur and put that away in a well.

Kali Amman ratham was coming among them to Patathu Amman temple.
