Navarathri kolu at 8th day in Madavarvilagam(Vaitheeswaran Temple) was celebrated  on 17th October(Wednesday) in Srivilliputtur.

This Kolu Amman is called Arulmigu Mahishasamarthini. 

Goddess take nine incarnations(Avedharangal) and destroys the Demons and Giants of Nine thinking like our bad thinks of Arrogance, Angry, Greed, Ahangaram. According to destroying the nine bad thinking by GoddessAmman, we celebrate this festival as Navrathri Kolu.

This is hindu festival which is celebrated in all over India.    

This is said to that a demone named Mahishasuran was killed by Amman. So this Goddess called Mahishasamarthini. 

This temple located at Srivilliputtur-626125, Virughunagar district, Tamilnadu, India. That is 70kms south side from Madurai.We can travel to this place by car,bus and train.
